I am a Canadian and was adopted when I was a baby. Where do I start my search?

There are many ways you can go about this. If you have certain information it will make it a lot easier. Do you know anything at all about your biological parents like their surnames. Or if you know what city and or hospital you were born in. It’s possible they might have a copy of your original birth certificate with your birth parents names on it.

If you were adopted through an agency they might be able to show you the adoption records. However your birth parents could have choosen to have the any records sealed and then you couldnt access them.

Good luck and remember this is a search that could take years and you might even have to fork out money for it. You should also prepare yourself that some birth parents have no interest in meeting / having a relationship with a birth child they gave up.

Try this Google your name and city. I did that yesterday at work I am a skip trace and bill collector and I goodled this girls name and she was the first one that came up on a web page Adoption.com she is searching for her birth mother and on her profile she entered her place of birth and all her stats to locate her birth mother. Give it a try you never know good luck to you

is there any trace from ur adopted parents n r they willing to tell u everything?some adopted parents r quite selfish n w'd not tell u the truth as they w'd worry to lost u if u go back to ur own parents.anyway u still can trace back from ur birth place or neighbors.advertise on the newspaper is a better way to search 4 ur parents.
