I used DVD shrink to rip a movie I bought onto my hard drive. Now I have a bunch of files in a folder...

How can I make it so I can click on one "file type" and watch the DVD as if it were loaded in my optical drive?

Although I'm not sure how you ripped the DVD, but you can try the steps below. If you could tell us more details, it would be better.

Right-click on the file > choose "open with" then select Windows Media Player or which ever program you prefer.

Instead of ripping the DVD to multiple files, choose to save it all in one file, an ".ISO" file. Once that's done, a very good free program to watch the movie from your hard drive is called "Video LAN". It's available to download at the below link. Good luck.

use multimedia players in your computer, if they dont play with windows media player you can download other players like, VLC media player, real player, MP4 Video Player, divx player and others you can even download the latest Windows Media Player 1, its good for playing ripped dvd player, otherwise if this player dont play then you movie compression will be wrong you will have to recompres the movies that you rip..
