It is so easy to look back on failed relationships as a waste of time - but they are not. Each relationship teaches us about love and life and exposes us to things we might otherwise never have known. Each failed relationship helps us refine our search for the ideal mate - and the new is always better than the old. As great as the last person seemed, the new one will be even better, because you have a better idea of what women are capable of and what you are capable of - what you want, what you can deal with and what you can not tolerate. And above all, don't forget or underestimate the love that you have shared. Remember the old Beatles line "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make". Sharing love and learning together is what it is all about. Don't minimize that - celebrate it. Embrace the good times. Don't forget or rue the feelings of love you shared. Even if it was not a romantic relationship, it sounds like there was a lot of love there.

Peace!
