my best advise is to have her go to her hairstylist so that she can recomend something apropriate for her texture and hair type. the best one out in the market right now is pureology. the whole line is desigend with color protection in mind. In fact it is garanted, if you do not like your results, you can return it to the company with in four weeks with your receipt and get a full refound. it is very concentrated so she would only need very, very little. pureology is not watered down like other shampoos , so the price is a little more, but well worth it. If the price sound to high you can alway try any shampoo that is sulfate free. (Pirvana, Healthy Hair, and wella to name a few). Regular shampoos contain sulfates, witch help with the cleansing prosses, but in the same time, it strips the hair. Another thing she needs to consider in order to stop her hair from fadding is if she has overprossesed hair. this will make her hair fade regardless of what type of shampoo she uses. She needs to get her hair in shape in order to maintain her color. Monthly deep conditioner will help get her hair back in shape. and a good tip ( in case she does her own hair), when she does her touch up's, only do the roots with permanent color. If she needs to refresh her ends, use a demipermanent color, this will refresh her color with out amonia peroxide, in other words, it wont damage her hair.;)

Shampoo in general is just bad for your hair. My advice would be to get Pantene for color treated hair and try not to shampoo much. She can condition all she wants but try to only shampoo once a week. This will help her hair a lot.

There is nothing you can use that is short of stripping every last drop of life out of your hair. Keep cutting your hair until all the dye is out, just wait it out, because if you add something else, it wont be natural anyway
