You might want to get it replaced.

Well, it really depends on the type of buzzing? Is it always the same buzzing noise, probably with a high frequency? If so it's fine. Most of the laptop adapters use switching power supplies, which emply high frequencies, around 15 KHz or more, and the small coils (there is no big 110-12 transformer in these adapters) sometimes make high pitched noises, due to cheap coils and transformers.

If what you hear is an intermittent, randomly on-off type of noise, then it's a faulty component, make them replace your adapter (tell them it may be life threatening, it works! Seriously, Would you like to see it catch on fire suddenly?!). If the noise happens if you touch the cable, then probably the cable has worn out, probably because of your mis-handling of the cable (do you usually roll the cable around the adapter tightly?) and they probably won't accept to change it, but I would recommend you get a new one anyway.

you'd be coming up static . It feels like a foul floor. verify the AC adapter plug. Is it a three prong. If no longer then it will be because the adapter become made and not using a floor circuit. If there's a three prong , then attempt it in a diverse room socket. The socket you're plugged into would no longer be grounded. I actually have Dell, HP ASUS & Gateway & ALL have 3 prong AC adapters. yet my daughters 10 dollar unit from Ebay would not. And that one receives warm

The AC adapter contains a transformer, and if the iron laminations are not clamped firmly together, the fluctuating magnetic fields can cause a mechanical vibration which will make it buzz. If you can put up with the buzzing, the unit will work OK. Personally, I like a mild buzz. Nice avatar. Really nice.

well, ig its more of a hum it's probably ok, this can just be from the transformer. a more buzzing sound can indicate a short forming and you should replace it.

Check to make shure it is not overheating. Check your battery pack. this will cause overload if the cells are bad. 9 out of 10 this will be the problem. Hope this helps.
