Often we heard that God gave us the intelligence to solve the problems by our own. But when trouble comes to us and with all the intelligence we have, we still pray for God to help us, to choose for us, to protect us and to save us. Yet, the human itself is the one who can help, choose, protect and save themselves. Are we loosing faith when trouble comes? Or isit that we are too dependent on God to show us the way?

I depend on myself. Yep. I earn money. No one does it for me.

It all depends upon personal belief. It sounds like you are curious about finding out how this "God" works or maybe you're curiuos to see if "God" exists. Where do you believe our humanly power or "will" comes from? It is a matter of faith. Believing that God Almighty, Jaweh, can help me takes alot of faith, but the results are always better than I could have done with my humanly power. God does not always answer me in yes or no answers; sometimes I do not know the answer, which means wait. However, He will always answer me - it's just a matter of good timing on His part.

I am guilty of prayer from time to time. The problem is, as I said just a moment ago, I do not believe in the made made rendition of what God is. But to answer your question, Yes, I pray to God when troubles come and I thank him when good things happen too. It's the inbetween that I mind my own business.

First of all, God is not the cause of suffering. James 1:13 says: 'When under trial, let no one say: "I am being tried by God." For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.' Humans, in many cases, are to blame for much suffering. They fight wars, commit crimes, pollute the environment, often carry on business in a manner motivated by greed rather than concern for their fellowman, and sometimes indulge in havits that they know can be harmful to their health. Also, Satan and his demons share a HUGE responsibility. The Bible teaches that the suffering that many people blame on God, does not come from him, but from Satan the Devil. Suffering's start: Examinations of the causes focuses attention on our first human parents, Adam and Eve. Jehovah God created them perfect and put them in paridisaic surroundings. Also, Ecclesiastes 9:11 tells us that time and unforseen occurence befall us all. God allows suffering because when Satan lied to Eve about the forbidden fruit, he in essence called God a liar, said humans could rule themselves, and questioned God's right to rule. Keep in mind that the angels were watching to see what God would do: would he destroy humankind and start from scratch, or would he give humans a chance to prove that they were wrong? Well, the answer to that is obvious. God will bring an end to suffering, as Psalms 37:9-11,20,22,28,29 and Revelation 21:4 bring out. Those aren't the only scriptures that show that, but there are way too many to give you all of them. Many people think that it has been too long, but 2 Peter 3:9 tells us that God is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. Jesus told us to get under his yoke with him, so that he could help us pull the burden. God does answer prayers, BUT the prayer has to be along with his will and his purpose for the earth. We need to be dependent on God, or else we will lose faith in him, or we will drift away. As you pointed out, humans can help themselves in certain situations, and they should as long as it does not go against Bible principles, but God gave us his word, the Bible, to show us the way we need to live. No, we don't know everything, but we know enough. If you have any questions, you can contact me...my email is the same as my nick @yahoo.com I hope I helped you.

Yes, we usually lose faith in ourselves when trouble comes. Thats why we pray to God to give us right mind to think of right solution.

Human heart is sensitive and when it is affected, brain stops working and we seek God's help to regain confidence that we can overcome any difficult situation.
