Actually, physics is closer to what would explain a supreme being's existence.
Answer the question that was asked.
If it could be proven by math (physics), then you wouldn't have to "believe", it would have been demonstrated.
Proving with physics that a supreme being does or does not exist drives people crazy. Can't anyone just accept the fact that maybe we don't know all the answers because we just haven't figured them out yet? At least until we figure it out?
Why do most people need an explanation for what we don't know? Faith is an "explanation" for the things that have been fabricated (myths) that were supposedly divinely divulged to explain the unknown.
Think about it.

God cannot be disproven.
The disproof of God (the proof that the cosmos is an absolute) is based on the tautology 1=1. 1 cannot be proven, since science is incapable of absolute measurement (humans can only perceive and communicate generalizations).
I take the absence of disproof as one of the reasons I believe there is a God.

If God's existence was proven by any scientific means, I would then believe.

Would you like Godel's proof debunked for you? Go over his axioms again; while the logic itself is flawed, there is one thing he bases it all on that is not quite right...lets see if you can get it without assistance and spare yourself the embarrassment of using it in a debate.

Frankly, math is not my forte. If it could be proven by math, I probably wouldn't be able to follow the equations anyway.

Suppose that there were some higher power. Doesn't matter to me. I know that a loving god that deserves to be worshiped does not exist.

I don't have the symbol on my keyboard for it but take the number 8 knock it over on it's side and you have the symbol for infinity one would think that would mathematically prove there is a God for he is infinite.

I don't see how one could possibly prove god through mathematics but if you could and it could also be verified by experimentation then of course I'd believe.

People will always believe in what they want no matter what the facts tell them. Some people just cant be persuaded no matter what.
