Here is a fun one-

Given: Jesus = God. God = Omnipotent. God = knows everything that will ever happen.

So following this logic, even as a 2 minute old "infant", Jesus knew that he was going to get nailed to the cross. Seeing as Jesus=God, and God is immortal, the crucifixtion could not have possibly killed Jesus.

Can you honestly consider this to be a sacrifice when
a) he knew it was coming the work around way before he was born...
b) knew that he could not possibly be harmed, much less killed by it...
c) made up the entire plan himself to reopen the gates of heaven to get his believers back in (guess he was getting lonely?)

How can you possibly consider this a sacrifice?

Interesting, the best I get is "he became man" and forgot he was god and couldn't die. I guess all those miracles were just smoke and mirrors. And the mind reading and future telling too?

That is some pretty convoluted logic you are using to save your myth.

hisglory: I guess you missed the part about immortality . Odd you choose to worship a mortal deity. Strange that he knew, 2000 years ago that I would even be born, but somehow forget that he concocted the whole plan.

wayne: much more interesting than any answer I could have expected. Most christians don't realize or even care that they are really paulians.

Yes, it is weird what Paul wrote when he corrupted the words of Jesus. (All those letters he wrote to expand his church empire.)

Analogy of Paul:

I just killed your dog. (I sinned)

So you come to me and say "You are going to be punished for killing my dog"

so I say " Ok let's kill your son, and that will make up for my killing your dog"

Please note: Paul"s plan: We are going to kill "your" son to make up for me killing "your" dog .

We are not going to kill "my" son as my punishment, we are going to kill "your" son.

(How stupid would that be. Remember Jesus never said it, Paul said it.)

...................

These are Paul's explanation why Jesus came to Earth.
Jesus told us completely different reasons why he came to Earth.

Who would know Jesus' intentions? Jesus or Paul

The answer is quite simple. It was never a sacrifice. Only later christian scholars such as Paul ect said that it was sacrifice. Again the reason for doing this is also very evident. They wanted to make a christian theology based on a fact that latter christianity followers should be able to do what ever they want to do in life just by believing on the sacrifice of Jesus. What better way to tell all christians that all your sins are paid for, just belive in the sacrifice and now you all are scott free to do what ever you want. All is contrarary to logical reasoning and hence all christians should open their eyes.

The truth is mentioned in the Quran and also makes sense. Christ was a messanger of God, as were all before him like Moses, Abraham ect. They all preached that GOD is ONE, who has no sons, daughters or any other relatives. He is unlike his creation, and will take us accountable for what ever we do. We all are under a test, and no one has his sins paid for. ALSO, a new born child doesnot inherit any sin. Adam never asked me before eating the forbidden fruit. So why should I be held accountable.

When Jesus took on flesh he became a man, complete with human soul, like every other man, in all things except sin.

When he died, he died like every other man died.

His blood was separated from his body, and his soul was too.

And since all men are destined to be resurrected on judgment day, some to glory, some to everlasting punishment, the only different thing about Jesus' death was the amount of time his body spent in the grave.

In light of all this, and in light of who Jesus is, what he consented to do for us, and why, not only was his death a true death and a true sacrifice, it was the most significant death and the most significant sacrifice of all time.

His "early" resurrection proved it.

I want you to do something for me, no, for yourself. Take a whip that has 39 ends on it and tie bits of bone, iron, etc into the strings. Then get a vine that has really long thorns on it and twist it into a circle about the size of your head. Then go and get a long nail about 4 to 6 inches long and starting from the small end which is pointed, have it about 1 inch square on the big end. And just lay all of those things on the floor in front of you.

Now, imagine a human being being beaten by the whip 39 times on his back, then having the thorny crown pressed onto his head. Are you starting to feel kind of jittery, because I am. Then take the nail and just press it into your palm. Don't worry, you don't have to puncture your skin to understand, because He already did it for you. And if you can't understand that what he did he did because it was the only way to save you, yes you, he paid the penalty for your sin on the cross, if you don't understand, then you need to think about what hell is like before it's too late.

edit:

to UncleWayne,

from Isaiah 53 not from Paul,
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Why would you suffer living in this wretched world by leaving Heaven?

Jesus suffered real pain, physical and spiritual. Being in the presence of sin was bed enough.

Yes. He wasn't crucified as God, but man. The creator became like the creation. He had the same fears, pains, temptations, and sorrows as man.

Your right. It's a paradox. As is many of the aspects of god if you consider him to be all knowing and all powerful.
