I haven't spoken to him in just about a year. 6 Months ago he wrote to me and said he missed talking to me but then like totally backed off. I would love to know what he's up to but don't know if I should really try. What do you think?

And it would just be on the friendly vibe. Our romantic relationship has sailed and I know its over. But I have to admit I miss him as a friend.

I wish I had an answer for you. Unfortunately nobody here can answer this question. You can hear other peoples perspectives, but at the end of the day you make the choice. You have to follow your heart on this one. Analyze this carefully; try not to let your emotions effect your decision too strongly. depends on the reasons you broke up. there's no harm in re-kindling a friendship, if you'd love to know what he's up to then ask him out for a coffee you can still catch up with an ex with no intentions of gettin back together!!!

remember that he is an ex for a reason and leave it at that. if it was his fault and he regrets it let him be the one to convince you of that and make it up to you if he can.
otherwise, just forget him.

my situation is nearly the same.....just a little different. sorry i dont have an asnwer, coz its happening as we speak....im feeling a little angry about it, dunno bout u.
