How come everytime I mention why I believe in God, atheists come out with this don't cram your religion down my throat BS? Thats such a cop out. First off all its a free country, you don't like, leave or go somewhere it wont bother you. Just because you have insecurities about religion and God or the fact you have too much pride to, doesn't mean I cant express my faith. Again its a free country and you are allowed to tell me why Im a moron.

However one more question? You people are so much more intelligent and enlightened than my blind ignorant faith, yet tell me from a scientific analysis how has anything in this existence ever come from nothing? You claim no God yet in physics everything has a cause and effect, so along with no infinite values existing in this universe explain to me how I evolved from nothing? Where is your science now? Or do you just bust it out when its a matter of convenience.

It's probably because most of the Christians here go much further than to just "mention" their beliefs. It gets to a point where not just the Atheists, but all the alternatives, including Hindu, Buddhist, and Wicca, get defensive with all the Christians, based on the few bad eggs. If you really believe in freedom of speech, then be an example and be tolerant of others yourself.

Sorry I can't answer your second one, both because I don't claim no God, and because that's two questions. Second one has to be asked in another post.

Im only 16 and I dont know anything about physics or science or anything like that. I beleived in God when I was younger and I was forced to go to a catholic school from kindergarden to 2nd grade. I just thought I had to beleive in God. When I started getting older...I started thinking that maybe there wasnt a God.

I think people can beleive what they want. It is a free world and people are going to have different beliefs and opinions. I dont think anyone is a moron for beleiving in God. I do think that people go alittle overboard. I dont understand how people can revolve their whole life around God and people can make sacrifices and start wars over religion.

I started questioning on whether there was a God because I feel theres too much bad stuff happening. I dont think God wants people to kill other people because they have different religious beliefs. My main reason why Im not sure about God is because..well..say a young child dies right after birth..or a 10 year old girl dies from cancer. A baby cant even live for more than a day and a child is suffering and her life is wripped away from her. At the funeral the priest always says "God chose this child to be with him" I think thats just wrong. If God gives us life, why take it away in such a painful way?

Im not saying I dont beleive in God. I beleive there is/was something out there, something I cant explain. But I cant beleive that one person causes everything in this world to happen.

But I think people should allow people to beleive what they want. Everyone has different opinions and people do need to respect that.

If I don't like what you believe, I will say so. A "free country" doesn't mean that anyone who disagrees with you can leave. I have no insecurities about God, I don't believe that God exists. It isn't a matter of pride, it's a matter of knowledge. I have spent most of my life in the pursuit of knowledge, and I use what I have learned. If I'm proud of that, I have a right to be. Your "blind ignorant faith" does not confer upon me the responsibility of educating you. Here. Check these out, they're easy:

Origin of Species:

Happy reading.

If you really want to know an atheist perspective, and aren't just yanking our chains for kicks, then read:

Richard Dawkins' book, "The God Delusion"
or
Sam Harris' book, "The End of Faith"

If you don't think it's worth buying or checking out one of these books to get a thorough answer, then you shouldn't bother asking the question.

so as that the widespread "plank" of Jesus saying, might desire to be somewhat seen via the atheist in his very own eye.(his different eye is large. isn;t it?) permit the speck for Christians. it is not undesirable in the event that they do no longer see one in each and every of those small particle.. They see the plank (them, too) interior the atheist eye. have fun!

We'll accost your kid in front of his school with our atheist teachings and free copies of The God Delusion.

Then we'll start the 24-hour Atheist Channel.

Then we'll have Evolution taught in your churches (equal time, you know)

Then we'll have Bertrand Russell posted in the court rooms.

THEN we'll talk about free speech. Or, will you still care about any of that by then?

You don't like atheists doing basically the same as you are doing here, only in reverse... interesting.
