You have what is called the gout--- and there is a medicine called colchacine that helps relieve the aching from it. Call your doctor- he can prescribe it and if you are still having a lot of pain, he should recheck the uric acid level and if it is still negative, you may need to see a Rheumatologist- which is a doctor that specializes in joint pain. Good luck to you

Alfalfa Complex will be very helpful. Many suffering from an inflammatory condition has experienced relief from Alfalfa Complex because it aids in regulation of the acid/alkaline balance in the body. It helps dissolve uric acid so it passes through the kidneys. Excessive uric acid in joints causes inflammation and pain. Alfalfa Complex contains an "anti-stiffness factor" which relieves stiff joints. Hope this is useful and if you would like to know the brand I use, feel free to contact me.

I had gout before, twice. First time I took the antiinflamation drugs doctor prescribed and it went away within 3 tablets. It happened again and I had this old drug, so I took it immediately and pain left me after 2-3 tablets. Since i never had it. But I was told too much high protein food and acidity causes it. I had a freind he would not drink cofee to avoid the attack. It seems you want to try cutting little bit of these items and most likely it will work.

Have your doctor refer you to a rhuematologist. You have crystals in the fluid of your joints, but what kind they are you can't tell without taking a sample (aspiration). If they are uric acid crystals, you get on gout meds. If they are calcium crystals, you have pseudo-gout; close but no cigar.
Your family doctor can tell you whether you get the test done by him or a lab. There are a lot of new drugs on the market now and they work, but you've got to get on them to stop the damage now. Good luck.

Do you eat a lot of shellfish, drink a lot of alcohol? This causes a build up of uric acid in the joints. These sources have purine and it leads to this condition.
My mother had it, my brother in law had it. These ppl don't listen to me. You need to cut out those and other purine rich foods. Eat lots of fruits and veggies and cut out (for God's sakes) purine rich foods from your diet. Don't believe me? Try it. In the process, a host of other fantastic things will happen to your body that you never thought possible. In addition, find yourself a really good nutritionist who is whole foods conscious. Foods heal if you apply it the right way. Don't go to a doctor, all he will do is ram meds down your throat.
Ex: I suffered from yeast infection 3 yrs ago. I ate raw garlic for four days and it went away in the first two. My husband had an abcess in his tooth, and he applied a poultice of aloe, macerated garlic and it went away. Still don't believe me? At the very least, you won't be constipated anymore, nor will you suffer from many skin conditions. Try it. It couldn't hurt.
While your at it, I would strongly employee a good balanced diet of several small meals made of whole foods and a wonderful exercise regimin of weights and cardio. Incorporate swimming into it as well. You'll use all the muscles in your body this way. Hey, you have one life. Might as well live it the right way, eh? What've you got to lose? So you have bum joints, who cares? I have bum joints, bum knees and such, I don't give a sh**t. I want to live while I am still in this world. I am living to the very best of my ability. What do you say? Give it a shot? It's your life and your body. May as well treat it right. Purine rich foods WILL give you the gout.
If you choose not to go down this route I suggested, go get those meds. Gotta get rid of it somehow, eh? Trouble is, you're just hiding the condition with meds. You're not solving the problem.
I have asthma, two bad knees, tons of allergies, had endometriosis, had severe acne and joint pain everywhere on my body. I don't take a single med.
Good luck and I hope all goes well for you...

Try Bee Royal Jelly it worked for me. I couldn't afford the gout meds. They are very expensive. I also didn't want to be subjected to the side effects of the prescription meds. It cost me about 100 bucks (same as gout pills) but it lasted for 5 months instead of 30 days. My grandmother told me about it. She used it for her arthritis and my grandfather used it for his gout. It worked great for me. Saved some money on the prescription and even more on doctors office visits. I buy it at beeroyalproducts.com.
