The hangover itself is something of a withdrawal effect, so a little alcohol will indeed ease the mental effects and may help with headaches from a hangover, but not by much, and it will only make a sour stomach worse. Pain relievers are a bad idea for a hangover generally. Pain relievers put a relatively minor stress on your liver, but when your liver is already taxed by lots of alcohol, you're giving it a one two punch.
You may need immediate relief, but for future excursions you can avoid hangovers simply by drinking water between alcoholic drinks. Headaches and tiredness often crop up out of the dehydrating effects of alcohol. It's cheaper than those sketchy anti-hangover pills. Better yet, bring along a bottle of vitamin water, something with vitamin B6, which is believed to add resistance to hangovers.

All these answers are good ways to cure hangovers. To prevent a hang over before you go out make sure you drink lots of water. If I know I'm going to be getting drunk in the evening I will drink tons of water through out the day. I always try to drink at least three glasses of water before I go out. You also will want to drink a glass or two of water at the end of the night. Excessive alcohol dehydrates your body which causes you to get a headache and feel like crap. Plenty of water will prevent a hangover every time. A gatorade and a double cheese burger from McDonald's are always good for the next morning if you really can't kick it.

I swear this works for me...and I have had some doozies where I could barely move.
Take a warm to hot bath in epsom salt water...and go heavy on the epsom salts, like a whole 2 quart carton in a full tub.
Get there as soon as you can drag yourself and run the water. You may actually by laying by the toilet so it could be an easy task...just reach up there if you can and spin the old faucet...that's it. Might help to make sure before you go out...that your faucet isn't really tight, just tight enough to keep from dripping.
Lay there, submerged as much as you can, just your nose sticking out to breathe, for about 20 minutes. Epsom salts is a detox, the salt itself, and the heat and the salt both bring on a sweat. After soaking, drain the water and shower with shampoo and a good soap, get the toxins off your skin. If you oversoak in the tub, you aren't sucking poisons OUT of your body, you are absorbing them back in from your icky bathwater. Good rule of thumb is when you feel like warming up the water, don't, just drain it and go for the warm shower.
By the end of your bath/shower you should feel a LOT better. I do.
As soon as you can keep it down, drink water because you are dehydrated and the epsom salts, along with pulling toxins out of you, also pulled fluid. And eat someting with a little starch, and a little grease. Like peanut butter and cracker or a fried egg and toast. Other drinks that are good? Something with caffeine if you have a headache, gatorade or the sugar free equivalents that they have now. Some tea. But water is what your body is really screaming for.
You may also benefit from something that will make you poop, NOT the runs, just a good dump, like Metameucil...get alllll the poisons out of your system. But maybe you are not having a problem with that. If you actually have the diarrhea, try to stop it because it is dehydrating you more.

Take a cup of hot tea, coffee, beef soup or any hot intake to warm your stomach. This would ensue perspiration. After you perspire, set your self into a lukewarm shower or bath tub. That way, you will be refreshed and ready to face the day again. Drink moderately, Pal.

1) Lots of, Bananas (for potassium), Water (for body fluids), Orange Juice
(for vitamins) and and meat (for iron). And lots of resting.
So that's replacing all the vitamins and minerals lost during drinking. And believe me it works!
or
2) Lots of water before going to bed. You'll wake up not needing to do the the the tip.
* Believe me both of them WORK!

about six shots of whiskey works for me. The best thing is to take one of those pills that prevent hangovers, I forget what they are called though, but sleep, food, and Ibuprofen work too.
