It a "British Short Hair"

But, I am sure if you browse the "Cat Breeds" on the left you find others that your cat is. I just call what you have an "Alley Cat". They about the best cat you can find. They are abandoned, free and want someone to love. Many of the Fancy Breeds are snobby cats. Ha!

Hi there...your cat would be considered a Domestic Long Hair (DLH).

Here are some photos of DLH grey/white cats: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=long+hair+grey+white+cat&btnG=Search+Images

A cat breed is an infrasubspecific rank for the classification of domestic cats. A cat is considered to be of a certain cat breed if it is true breeding for the traits that define that breed. Only three percent of owned cats belong to a cat breed

Cat breeds don't tend to be as distinctive as dog breeds. You can separate strays by color (sounds like your's has tuxedo markings but in grey? Jokingly we call that one a morning suit!)

Most strays are just mixes of whatever is out there - probably not a specific breed.

But, just remember, that these mutt cats are often smarter and have less troubles than purebreds!
