Guys – is there a certain ‘type’ of woman who will attract men who will beat her/cheat on her? If so, what traits does this woman display that might attract abusive men to her?

Saying dumb questions like yours? Just kidding lol. What kind of question is that though? Its the man's fault they beat women, not the woman's. That's just a dumb question. Sammy read the question again please, and don't be so quick to mock and scoff. I did not state at any time it's the woman's fault. But some people do tend to attract the same type of person over and over again. I was reading something earlier where a bloke is quoted to have said 'you can pick em' (ie vulnerable women)' which prompted me to explore the matter further.

FW.....I am not blaming the victim. I simply asked a question. Asking a question does not lay blame.

i think both cheating and beating women is horrible, only couple things may come to mind regarding what type of woman it may be. don't forget it will very much be the guy, not so much the woman. but i suppose if she seems less independent, like if she can't stand up for herself, or can't speak for herself. or there could be numerous things that would make the guy cheat on her. but i really feel its more the guy that would anticipate stuff like this, rather than the girl.
hope everythings alright for ya

It's the other way around. Women are attracted to these men in rejecting nice guys. The theories are varied but center on the idea that women set their goals so low as they do not believe themselves worthy of better. This impacts their sense of self, integrity, character and value. Unfortunately, some women gravitate toward these men like bees to honey.

I can only speak from a womans point of view. I was sexually abused as a child, both molested and raped. I have always needed a man in my life and I would be aggressive towards them and eventually they started taking the upper hand and abusing me and cheating on me. If they cheat on you once, they will do it again and again, just like hitting you.

No, I am not a "beat her/cheat on her" type.
But, certainly I believe in giving what somebody is looking for.
Would you believe me if I said " Yes, there are women who love, maybe not beating, but surely some roughing up from men, atleast some form of domination".
I have no hesitation in saying, yes, I like this 'type' of women who like 'act' in a strong manner from me.
By the way, I have noticed that this 'type' like to talk vulgar as a fore-play, which I also like.

All kinds of men are attracted to men who cheat or beat. A guy who beats up his partners isn't going to introduce himself that way..."Hi I'm Gary and I like to beat the crap out of the woman I have relationships with. How about you being my next victim?" In the beginning they are very loving, affectionate, passionate. They treat you like a queen they gain not only YOUR trust but the trust of those around you. They show up at your door to take you to a "posh" restaurant and not only do they have candy and flowers for you but they also have small bouquets for your mother and sister as well...for dad they have a 12 pack of his favorite brew. They wine you and dine you and although they "try" to be sexual they stop when you say no. They gain your confidence and you feel safe with them...until the one day you're out shopping with one of your friends and they call your house every hour on the hour until you get home. The minute you're home they show up on your doorstep, start asking questions, where you went who you saw and were there any other men? They begin to control your every movement. Take you to work, and bring you home. They even go so far as to fix you lunch and bring it to you so that you will feel obligated to have lunch with them rather than friends at work. From there it escalates...

Iam sorry to say, but there is a type of women that DOES attract these kind of men in their lives. Iam not saying it is the womens fault, but by adjusting their mindset, they can attract the right people around them. Iam a christian, i believe that darkness attracts darkness, and light attracts light. Renewing your mind, so that you arent attracted to the wrong element like badboys, jerks, cocky men and etc. That stuff seems cool on the outside, but getting into a relationship with someone that has does types of mindsets will bring a curse instead of a blessing... Again, my opinion...

Women who grew up with fathers who had those traits will attract those kinds of men.
Women who have already been through those kinds of men also have a higher chance of falling back into it with a man of similar traits.
Females tend to look for males with traits similar to their fathers wheather they are concious of it or not.

Vulnerable! but it can happen to the very strongest and most "on top of their game" sisters. So, lets not blame the person getting the treatment here but make the creep responsible for his own behavior.
