You'll need to enter the product key for XP Pro - as Microsoft detect what OS you're using to access the page!
The product key is usually on the back of the documentation they give you.

Sorry that no-one answered your question. You just can't get the staff nowadays!

Good luck

it means that you using different version of the windows that you already purchase.
if you are working then you need to ask your IT person about your validation key for the windows since the key you are using is fake or somebody already using it.
the reason of using proff. ed. might be because of networking setting reason, so don't mess up by formatting your computer yet.
your genuine windows key is for XP home edition not XP proffesional edition
you'll get annoying messege from microsoft telling about genuine windows and you'll never get any update from the microsoft.
i think it is possible to upgrade from home ed. to proff. ed. ver but once again you need to ask sombody who knows or setting up your computer at the first time

nb:
it's only a suggestion, don't use IE 7 since it's got too many bug and microsoft hasn't got any hotfix yet
stick to ver6 or use firefox or myIE, they are better

It means your XP Pro product key is invalid. You might have to install XP Home since you have that product key on the sticker which I believe is valid.
