haha.
Anyways I am already on a strict diet and and have an excercise progam that I do 3 times a day. I just was wondering if what I am doing is going to help get rid of the extra fat on my hips. I am not huge just want to tone up.

Diet:

Do not go on a diet. Eat more (really!) Smaller portions, every two hours. The balance between the calories you burn vs the calories you take in will work more efficiently.

Exercise:

Don't start any exercise regimine if you don't plan to use consistency. This is synonymous to yo-yo dieting and is not effective.
Lift weights, do yoga/Pilates, go running/walking. Swimming is the best (in my opinion) exercise as it combines all these. Your muscles will be toned and you'll lose those love handles. If my friend can lose her love handles to swimming, anyone can lose them this way. One summer, she and I walked 15 miles (no lie, we counted) every other day and she lost 30 pds. She went from 200 pds to 170. She's large framed and is almost 5ft10in.

**USE CONSISTENCY!!!!! Don't start something and then stop a week later. You'll lose all that hard work. Start slowly. Replace simple sugars and carbs with complex ones. When cutting out those things, replace them with something else to fool your body. For ex: cutting out table sugar....add raw honey to herbal teas. Cut out white bread.....add whole wheat or spelt bread.
***Eat 10 raw fruits and veggies a day (I am dead serious).
I am giving you my regimine. This is all my regimine....balanced diet and exercise. I am a size zero and I eat 3000 cals a day. I am slim/toned/athletic build. I am prepping for NPC competition in the near future.
Use the pool and swim those laps. I would start with that first. If you don't know how to swim (as I didn't for a long time), LEARN!!!
Good luck...

Running! Hard and long. Do 30 minutes+ on the elliptical machine at the gym(4-5 days a week) and take frequent walks. Add crunches/oblique twists and soon your sides should be taut. :)

the first thing to do is eat right, and as long as your being a little active every day it will start to go away. do sideways crunches
