I remember TOO and I loved it. They don't make it anymore, and I wish they did. Their orange package now is some mango tropical crap, definitely not the same thing.
I was thinking about that just tonight when I was looking for gum at Walmart. I just quit smoking, so in addition to nicotine gum, I bought a bunch of regular gum.
Related, I wish that Wrigley's made sugar free versions of DoubleMint, Juicy Fruit, Spearmint, and Big Red. Extra is their sugar free gum but it isn't the same.
Those dark blue packs (alllll the brands) smell like toilet bowl cleaner. :P
I like Carefree gum too. I only chew sugar free, and I'm about to get very well reacquainted with it, after knocking the cigarettes.

I remember - rarely chewed Trident. I remember the fruit flavor being pretty good, though. Don't know where to find it. Have you tried a vintage candy source on the 'net?

trident still has an orange gum! i chew it all the time. it's called tropical something but it tastes like peaches. you can get it anywhere here in new mexico and in arizona...maybe they don't have it where you're at? you could maybe order it online.
