Do this:

First tie the action to a command. So any time he even puts a tooth on you, or anyone else for that matter, even if it was by accident, say something like "No bite" ... my favorite is "No teeth!" The command does not matter as long as you always use the same one (and it includes the word "No".) Say it firmly and look directly at him as you do. Repeat it a few times.

As you do this take his muzzle ... (mouth and nose) and gently but firmly clamp you hand over it, using your thumb and fingers to hold the dog's jaws shut. Hold this for only a few seconds ... just long enough that he/she knows you are doing it and tries to pull away ... then quickly release! This is not hurting the dog! What you are doing is mimicking the behavior of the mother which will clamp its mouth over a wayward pups muzzle to show them who is in control, and to control them.

The person who answered watch "The Dog Whisperer" is on the right track. The trainer on that show has a keen understanding of dog psychology.

First you and each member of your family has to be on the same page. Each member of your family is a dominant member of the pack and your pup will have to learn this.

Even if your pup is an inside pet it's got lost of energy. This energy needs to be directed towards productive training and open yard free play time. Pent up energy will result in chew up items and/or family members.

Don't give your pup LOTS of toys. Pick one or two max. I recommend a Kong as your first toy. It's practically indestructable. It's also hollow so you can fill it with peanut butter or cream cheese. that will keep the little one busy. Next I would recommend a puppy tug or rope toy.

The pup tug isn't just a toy it's a training tool. I suggest you buy or at least view the Ivan Balabanov training video. "The Game" is the best training method I've come across.

Above all be consistant. Dogs are creatures of habit. Reenforce all the good and swiftly correct the bad every single time.

It is natural, he is trying to show dominance. When he does this tell him sharply NO then turn your back on him, took my dog a few months to get the picture but he did. Be firm. He will learn to play without biting. Good luck and many years of bonding, he will be your best friend.

I had the same problem with my puppy, some puppies are just that way. What I did is I got a spray can and put lemon juice in it, when my dog tried to bite me, I sprayed her and she moved away from me, if that doesn't work, bring your puppy to Obedience school.

I am a certified master trainer. Dogs mouth and they bite. If your puppy is biting you. Tell it NO! in a stern voice and roll it on to it's back. Stare into his/her eyes until it looks away and won't make eye contact. At first it will struggle and you have to hold him on his back until he shows signs of submission and accepts you as the Alpha of his pack.

puppies play bite thats what they do, if they were taken from the litter to early he may not have learned that it hurts when you bite, try getting down at his level and biteing back OR flick him on the nose. or when he bited put him on his back. biteing is a dominate thing. when he bites say no and lay him on his side this is a submissive act on his part and dominant on your part. also tach him how to sit when he starts biteing say NO BITE and SIT and when he sits and stops biteing give him a treat. try to give hima command he knows to deter him from the biteing hope this helps

Lol, join the club! I dont mean to laugh, but thats what puppies do best. I have a 7 week old and hes starting to do that. We just tap him on the nose and tell him "No!" very sternly. He will eventually get the picture and quit. Its just like kids, they go through phases and will grow out of it. Good luck!

I have a new puppy myself who loves to bite . The way i have gotten her to stop bitings so much is when she bites me i bite her back on her ear. and cause that is a sincety place for them they hate it. and after afew times of getting bite back they start to learn that if they bite they are going to be bite back and that it hurts.but you have to be careful not to bite them to hard. and a other way we got our puppy to stop biteing was top also thump then on their nose they hate it cause it hurts and that teaches them not to do it. I hope this has helped you some.

You need to watch more "dog whisperer".

Seriously, tell him "no" in a scolded voice is 1 method, you should also push him back a bit and say "NO!" whenver he bites you. That should help him learn.

Just make a loud, shreikish "Ouch!" even it didn't exactly hurt that much and push your puppy away. If he continues biting keep saying the ouch and pushing him away. If he stops praise and give treats.
Hope this helps!
