No. At worst, the cell phone shorts out to itself since its positive and negative electrodes are internal.
Don't use a cell phone by the gas pump. It can ignite fumes.
The reason electrical appliances can electrocute you in the shower/bath is that one of the electrodes is the 'hot' wire and the other is the Earth itself. So, the electricity wants to flow between the wire and Earth and you'd better not get between the two.

No. The electrocution ability of a cell phone is equivilant to the ablity of a 9 volt battery to electrocute you. Now if you still have the cell phone plugged in to be charged, that is a different matter.

maybe she should not be talking on the phone with you while she is in the shower or bath, even though she would not be electrocuted, or tell her to put it in a plastic bag next time, but in person would be better then you would not have to worry about electrocution or a dead cellphone.

You might get a shock. The battery has power in it. But it doesn't have direct source to electricity if not connected to the charger. I've gotten caught in a rain shower before while using a cell phone. But didn't get shocked then either.

The odds are extremely extremrely low.....I suppose it could be possible, but even if it did happen, it would not be enough to harm you.....unless ofcourse you have a pacemaker, then never use a cell phone around water.

have you ever put a 9volt battery on your tongue and felt the zing? I doubt a cell phone battery would have enough juice to hurt you, just make sure you arent charging the cell phone from the wall socket.

There's a slight potential for an uncomfortable but mild shock. Your phone won't care for it, though...
