There’s this girl I like she works at my gym. We talk whenever we see each other.
She’s kinda shy but not too shy. I always catch her checking me out, and honestly I find her attractive too. So, I’m wondering what I should do? Should I make the first move or let her. This situation is awkward because I’m a woman and she’s a woman. I’m a little confused on what approach to take with her and scared to hear no. I was thinking about writing a simple note with my phone number saying, I’d like to get to know you better. If you’re interested. Call me. Its seems easier that way because if she doesn’t call I know to step off.
But if she isn’t interested then I’ll have to join another gym to avoid embarrassment. What should I do?
I pick up those vibes but fear holds me back.
My girlfriend (just a friend) told me she’s probably feeling the same way that I am. And maybe she’s waiting for me to make my move. What does it mean when someone avoids eye contact? My mom always said that means they’re shady, but I don’t know.

I would try to make some idle chit chat. Gauge her that way. Move slowly in this case because, you never know if she feels the same way. Maybe you can build trust and get more open to each other than you can make your move.

By all means, if you're interested, tell her. What's the worst thing she could possibly say, No? There's other fish in the sea if that's the case. If I were you, I might approach her by asking her to work out with you then make conversation. As far as the eye contact, believe me it's uncomfortable at times. I would much rather someone to glance at me then to stare at me. Good luck. Hope this encourages you.

As long as you make relationship decisions based on your fear of rejection, you're never going to have a girlfriend anyway. So gather your courage and ask for her phone number, then ask for a date, or admit that you have no business swimming in the gene pool. Your choice.
