IF the square face has dimensions of e X e and the height is 6

the total area formula would be A= 4 (sides) + 2 (faces)
2
120 =4 (6e)+2 (e)
2 2
60= 12e + (e) ; (e) + 12e - 60 = 0; solve for e = 3.8 yd
(When this presents, the 2's will be mislocated. Thy should be above the (e) factors representing squares.)

the whole area is A= 4*side area+ 2*base area
suppose the base edge lenght is x
so the side area is 6*x
the base area is x^2

A=4*6*x + x^2
120 = 24x + x^2
x^2+24x-120=0

by solving this equation ( Delta=384)
the roots are
x1=3.8
x2=-15.8

so the base edge lenght is 3.8 yd
