you will not be able to get out of your contract and sometimes those clauses such as moving are very very specific and have precise terms. I got stiffed like that with Bally's and went for 2 months with a $50 membership needless to say I couldn't pay it went on my credit for $1500 those gym contracts can be serious business. I paid $900 up front to 24 hour fitness which is 2 years paid 1 year free, and there after it is $60 a year well worth it. I'm working on a new approach of paying things up front in full. Watch that $30 a month may be a contract as well.
Maybe they have a cancellation or termination fee to let you out of the contract like when you get a cell phone or a lease usually they have termination fees to let you. Read your contract thoroughly and find the loop holes, and do what I do TELL THEM WHAT EVER YOU HAVE SUCH AS YOU LOST YOUR HOUSE AND YOU ARE LIVING ON THE STREET OR IN YOUR CAR. Make something up I always do and found my way out of alot of things if you want more help you can email me

sounds like you have a membership at a very exclusive or private gym. I cannot tell you exactly how to get out of it. However, In my opinion, the gym is ripping you off. How can they charge you sums of money that they said they already refunded? I say take it very seriously, and talk to the top decision makers of the business to get your money back and also cancel the account. Another words, make a formal and serious complaint.
Try 24 hour fitness or even Xtreme fitness if there is one in your area.

Unless you show proof of a different address that is out of the area (usually 30 miles away) then you cannot get out of it. It's a contract. Be careful what you sign.
