Value for money. They are normally too expensive for the quality they give you.

I have less concerns about that, than alcohol served in bars...less drinking and driving, just wobble upstairs and pass out...if it is the hotel lounge. If it is room service, so much the better.
I lived in a dry county until Jan 1 and it always seemed ridiculous to make people drive to the county line to get alcohol...when there were loopholes all through the law anyway in the form of memberships to "private clubs" at restaurants and bars, just couldn't buy it to take HOME and drink like at the gas station, groc store or liquor store. They would make you prepared drinks in a restaurant or bar all day long and as long as their was only one alcohol-containing glass per person on the table, no one got in trouble. Then you just get in the car...
I KNOW that drinking responsibly is by and large an issue of personal responsibility of the drinkER but if a bartender can go to jail for serving a person who drank too much and hurt someone driving...then these kinds of laws should be looked at for the stupid waste of paper that they are.
I suppose another issue related to hotel drinking is more about room service, and its exhorbitant prices for the mini-bar, etc. If someone is truly addicted to alcohol and gets hammered in the hotel room, they may get in trouble trying to cover the expense after the fact. It is just sitting there, waiting to be consumed, and an addict wouldn't worry about the price until later.

Well until now I never even had a minute thought about the situation. I would say that it would be as every where else that alcohol is served. It is OK until abused. It's better to be served inside of the hotel than having to go out and drink and finding a way back.

I don't have much concerns about that. I have much more concerns about alcoholic beverages served on airplanes.
