Hot girls are used to being approached by guys, so they don't really care. The only thing you are afraid of is rejection, get over that and you'll be fine.

seirously. id rather have a guy walk up to me and start off conversations other than those dumb guys who just straight out says "hey hottie whats your name" .. i think starting conversations make girls less cheaper and it shows that your more of a respectable person than just looking for some ***.
a good way is to try to notice something about her. like if you notice she likes a type of drink then just stand next to her and say "so you like ______" and she'll start talking and you can say more things that comes in mind. if she's wearing a miniskirt or some ****..dont say anything about that. cuz thats not really a conversation starter
