Where do vegans get their protein? It's simple. Those who believe plant protein is inferior to animal protein may be surprised to learn that plant proteins contain the same 23 amino acids as animal proteins.
If a person is eating a broad selection of plant-based foods and consuming adequate calories, it is unlikely he or she will be protein deficient. Physicians in the United States rarely encounter patients who are deficient in protein. Deficiency is uncommon and is seen mostly in countries where serious shortages of food exist, and malnutrition is prevalent.

There are many protein foods which are suitable for vegetarians, including dairy products such as cottage cheese, and other animal derived foods such as eggs. High protein plant based foods include whey and soy, which are readily available from health food stores in supplement form.
Foods like eggs, milk, spinach, soybean, quinoa, fish, whole grains, rice, beans, legumes, corn, oats, peas and peanut butter are good sources of high protein foods.

Are you vegan? If so, there are various types of tofu you could try. Whey protein powder is another possibility.
If you are not a vegan, then eggs, cheese and dairy products are good sources of protein as well.

Rice is fairly high in protein. You also need to be concerned about iron since it isn't found in too many "vegetarian" foods.

you could try soy protein powder, like mix it with soy milk or add it to waffle mix, bread etc. They are making really good chocolate and vanilla flavored soy beverages now.
