Staying away from other people. I have Lupus and my immune system is down so am susceptible to every ones ailments. You don't know who you are coming in contact with so please, stay home or at least keep a distance from others. Hope you get over it soon. One person can put many people out of work and in misery because of one persons actions.

FEVERS, COLD, OR FLU SYMPTOMS:
An old folk Russian home remedy for relieving a fever is to rub the skin of the person's body, hands, and feet with vinegar. Then lay a wash cloth dampened with vinegar on their forehead. This should give relief within 15 minutes regardless how high the fever. It is safe to use on children, although for a baby or highly sensitive person, you might want to add some water to the vinegar to prevent skin irritation. This will not cure the reason for the fever in the first place, so remember to take the person to the doctor as soon as possible to have them checked. This remedy is a good one to use when one cannot use Tylenol or aspirin.
Mix 2 tsp. Lemon Balm (Melissa) to 1 cup boiling water. Steep 15 minutes. Sweeten with honey and give to drink for fevers or cold and flu symptoms.
Drink coconut water to break a fever. Some supermarkets carry coconut water in cans now.
Eat lots of grapes, and drink lots of grape juice when you have a fever to get rid of it.
Hot lemonade is great to break a fever!
Take 2 Tbsp. Black Elderbery extract every two hours at the beginning of the flu and it should lessen the severity of it. You can buy this extract at GNC stores

I think its the Employers that have a responsibilty here. Some foolish ones want you to bring a note from your doctor if you stay home sick. That means going out and infecting other people. This is a public health issue. Customers should complain if they see sick people working in grocery stores and in the food industry. Stay home. The flu can kill old people. Get a flu shot next year.

To take Sudafed and go to work is not only harmful to your coworkers, but also to your health.
The most important thing to do is to get rest. Sudafed and other symptom reducers may make you feel better, but they cannot heal you. In fact, they can cause you to become active and deprive you f the rest you need. You get tired when you have the flu so you will rest and the body can recover.
Rest, drink water with a little lemon or fresh squeezed orange juice, or tea, avoid dairy and meat, eat fresh juicy fruit if you are really hungry, take a little fever reducer and rest. Keep hydrated and rest. Get off the computer and rest. Hope you feel better.

DON'T GO TO WORK I hate when people think they have to come in, don't get anything done, sniffle and whine all day, and spread it to everybody. STAY HOME, you are no good to anybody sick.
Drink lots of fluids, chicken soup, clear broth, take about 1000 mg of Vit C a day and REST.
Sorry you have the flu! I am nursing a sick 2 yr old and a coming down with it hubby.

Try very hard to not stay on Tylenol too long. If you must be on an aspirin type product try Aleve or something. Tylenol is really bad on the stomache.
