they do all sorts of things, as medical corpsmen, and in special operations roles, and SEAL teams. security roles, with some 500 sailors expected to take over operations at a prison inside Iraq. disposing of explosive ordnance.

The Navy has 4,000 sailors in Iraq.

The navy is providing the corpmen, a lot of the air support...and a lot of the base security. Also...last but not least....our Navy SEALS...oh and I'm forgeting...customs...army did the customs first, then the airforce, now the navy is doing it. I just got back :D I was doing customs :)

to add to Golden's reply how about all the dog handling teams that are also on very short turn arounds due to the dogs getting so exhausted.............navy have many teams out there on rotation.

Navy are also sitting off the coast at a state of readiness just in case...............

Oh in case you are still confused MANY air fore are also out there, they are the ones with the planes.......
