When it's time to get serious and marry, what's the maximum number of sex partners you feel is OK for your honey to have experienced before you?

If you feel free to share such information, it would be interesting to know if you are a man or a woman and how old you are.

I'm a dude, 34, married and happy. I doubt I could be that if I married an ex-skank. Every time you kiss your wife you'd think about just how many guys she had her lips on. The fewer, the better. There was a scene in Clerks where the guy says "i can't believe that when I kiss you I'm tasting 37 guys". Believe it or not, we can't dissmiss that image.

I am 23 female. I think the 'appropriate' amount of sex partner for a man should be AT LEAST 5 or less because how many more women does a man truly have to test drive before settling down? I would say one but since we're talking about men here I'll stick with 5 or less. I would not want a man who's been with over 5 because that's plain nasty and only proves that he is nothing but a filthy douchebag. *Cheers*

I personally want a women that hasnt been with anyone in that way before. I understand making mistakes and growing up and learning from them, but to have more than 15 partners in a lifetime is not healthy(in my opionion, iam a christian). Your husband or wife is going to want you to satisfy them the way 10 other people he or she has been with have done in the past. If you dont live up to that expectation it could cause trouble latter on. Having someone fresh and new is like having no expectations and no worries about any emotional scarring from past sexual relationships and all that baggage. JUST MY OPINION...

These kinds of numbers are silly. You should marry when you feel you are both ready.
Having been with 20 people does not make you a better partner.

I'm 26 and she is 20 and it was the first time for both of us and I don't think there will be another one, or so I hope. There are people who just can't stay with someone and thus dump that person when he or she feels the need.

Zero would be the preferred number, and if not that, then as few as possible. I don't think picking an arbitrary upper limit is particularly useful, however. Every situation is different, and after all, it is the future that really matters, not the past.

I am male and mature.

I have about half a dozen, and I think it'd be great if one could put all the qualities and attributes into one individual. One woman is my ideal height, another is a capable, loving single mom. another is quite fond of sex, while yet another is in the field of higher education. and one is bisexual like myself.
