fruad and felony what is the difference?

It can be both, depending on the nature of the crime, who it involves, and where it took place. For example, if you live in CA and commit fraud over state lines, it's federal. If you live in CA and defraud another CA resident, it's state.

Felony is the level of seriousness of a crime. Some crimes are misdemeanors, some are felonies. Fraud most likely would be considered a felony...it's pretty bad but the level of proof is extremely high.

It would depend greatly upon whether or not the " offense " in question is a Federal Offense, or a State Offense. If you committ an offense such as cashing a Federal Check for say 100,000.00 dollars and it's not yours then you could be charged with theft by check and if you used a fake I.D. then yes it's a federal offense of fraud. Some Federal cases go before State Court though such as a Federal Firearms case. Alot has to be considered as you were vague in your question. Get a dictionary and look up fraud and then felony it should give you your answer. GOOD LUCK!
