depends, if your handycam is Digital

if it's Digital, you need a firewire cable, and a video capturing program such as iMovie, or Windows Movie Maker

if it's Analog, i think there are other things you would have to buy to make it compatible with your pc.

For this, what you need is FIREWIRE Cable. Its a cable in which both ends are same. You also need Firewire port in your computer.

Just connect Your handycam to your PC via this cable and your WINXP SP2 will launch Windows Moviemaker and it will transfer all videos from your Handycam to your PC. You also need a HUGE amount of empty hard disk space if you want a really good resolution.

u must have got software with ur handicam which u need to install in ur pc which will help u upload the video from ur cam to ur pc .. the manual also has the instructions of how to do it .. incase u don't have the manual go to the site of the company of ur camcorder.. u find the info there.. after u do this u can use the usb cable provided with the cam .. connect it to the cam n the pc . use the software to upload

you have to install a video capture card to your pc and it needs to have RCA plugs so you can connect your handycam with your computer
