My cat is sick, what do I do? She is sneezing and her nose sounds congested. Will she be okay, I mean can it be fatal?
She usually sleeps outside, but I've put her in the garage and i will keep here there at night until summer time.

Hi there...upper respiratory infections (URI) require antibiotics to thwart off secondary infections as a result of the URI. This can become life-threatening if not treated quickly. Outdoor cats are more susceptible to URI which is passed from another infected cat or when under stress and other causes.

Take her to the vet, have a feline leukemia/FIV test done, especially if her shots are not current. If the test is negative, the vet will probably give you some antibiotics. There could still be an underlying virus, and the antibiotics will help but not cure her in that case. Feline leukemia is fatal pretty quick, FIV is fatal eventually but like HIV it's the secondary diseases that kill, not the FIV virus itself. Other things can lead to pneumonia if not treated.

Most commonly, the cat gets some antibiotics and does fine, but there's alwalys a chance of something more serious.

It could be an upper respiratory infection and those can be fatal if not treated. It is usually a round of oral antibiotics, but the big thing is that they can get dehydrated very quickly. If you can keep her in the garage or house it would be better because if it is that she will run a fever and chill. Take her to a vet as soon as you can. Good Luck!!

Sounds like an upper respiratory infection which is very contagious in cats. I'd say keep her inside for a while, watch her eating habits, check her eyes to see if there is a discharge and keep her nose clean. Usually older cats are strong enough to fight it off, but if she's not eating, drinking, still sneezing and has the discharge from her eyes, you're going to have to take her to the vet.

Yes, your cat may die from upper respiratory infection, which is what I suspect she has. She needs to go to the vet, get proper medications (antibiotics) and she will need to STAY OUT OF THE COLD. The garage will not do unless it is warm and not drafty. She wll need top nutrition and plenty of fresh water to help her immune system kick in and fight her illness. When she seems very congested, you should turn on the hot water shower to make the bathroom really steamy. Then go sit in there (on the toilet seat or bench) with kitty on your lap so she can breathe the steamy air. This will help ease or open up her airways. But first, she really needs to go to the vet. And then, PLEASE keep her inside the house in a warm room - even if its the laundry room.

And even as waiting human beings can ask different puppy vendors in the adventure that they have got any ideas on a thanks to address the problem and ask for commonplace suggestion. Take her to the vet... Cats have a few fatal diseases that they pick up, especially cats that live outside. Take her to be checked, vaccinated, and keep her in the house, 24 / 7

Take her to the vet. Cats are very susceptible to Upper respiratory infections and you will need to rule out feline influenza, which can be fatal. And I woul.d reccommend, if it possible to bring her inside during the winter at least.

Sounds like a cold, you should take her to the vet and get some antibiotics. It doesn't sound fatal to me, but you wont know until you get her to the doctor.
