my throat, I noticed these big red bumps at the back of my tongue. What could this be? Its not very painful but it hurts.

It would be a good time to see your doctor for a throat culture. That sounds like a bacterial infection. Maybe strep, but maybe something else if you don't also have a fever.

a coated tongue with red spots toward the back is a sign of oral thrush, something you could get if you dont eat yogurt or take acidophillis after taking an antibiotic...its like a yeast infection. Treatments are taking the above mentioned, and or rinsing with baking soda
