can someone explain to me why it is that guys like to go for girls who are super skinny? is it the model complex? I am not fat, I am not stick skinny, I am normal. But I still wonder. Is looks the main thing? I am told that I am gorgeous all the time....yet, guys have to get to know me before they make decisions. I mean I have feelings and a sense of humor and I'm not just beauty. Can y'all just please explain a few things about what you first see in a girl? I understand the obvious looks is the first thing. But what about if the girl is dumb as a rock but gorgeous? Where do you go from there?

i dont like chicks that are super skinny. long black hair. im actually the coke bottle kinda guy (nice sized breasts and a.s.s),i like only smart chicks none of the dumb rocks, i want a girl thats needs a soldier, she has to want a real man in her life and has to love dogs especially puppies (i hope to propose to my wife with a ring on a bulldog puppies collar).

First of all, all guys don't have the same taste in women. Some prefer skinny, some prefer full figured. I can prefer both depending on the lady.
When a guy sees a lady, thousands of years of human development have honed our senses. We can tell instantly if we're "attracted" to a woman. Now once we get to know a woman, that attraction can rise or fall. Another thing is men are visual. We rate physical appearance (at least initially) over the personality.
As for the girl dumb as a rock but gorgeous, we want to be seen with her or have a short term relationship with her, but nothing serious. Later.

Well men are shallow women are shallow ..we're all shallow Most guys if she's drop dead gorgeous would still keep the dumb girl around just to have a pretty girl on their arm.
For me looks are important to a degree..I cant be with someone i have no physical attraction to..but at the same time if she's dumb as a rock.. I'm not going to keep her around for very long.
So for me anyway average looks and some intelligence win over a dumb model type.

I dont get it either and I'm a guy.
Actually if I went to a girl for looks I usually go for more homely or could be a good/fun friend looks then models. If a model stick approached me and started things, then a maybe for a quicky if I am feeling real horny enough. Though thats hardly ever now even at my young age of 19.
Basically those guys see those sorts of girls as sex objects.

depends, all guys are different. guys just want to have fun when they are young they are pretty insensitive. personally im not attracted to gorgeous girls who have no brains cuz looks dont last forever what you have inside (personality) lasts till the day you die. The other thing is that if your not happy with your body, then get in shape, that way you will have a great personality, great body, and a brain. Its a huge turn on for a sensible guy. But overall if your happy in your skin it doesnt really matter.

well .. it's not only the appearance that matters ... a dump girl will make me sick even if she is a stunning blond ... it's a human being we are talking about right ? so it's like a package . the body , the face , the feelings and the spirit , when you like the package as it is then it must feels right to be with that person
the appearance attracts the eyes , but love is surly blind

Stop fooling yourself. Not all men go for skinny women. I'm 6'8" and 280 lbs., and I am normally attracted to average to slightly larger than average women. I'm not alone. You're just not finding the right guys.
Secondly, looks aren't everything. If they were, I would have never dated anyone.

well i hate skinny girls disgusting but then again fat chicks are disgusting to. the thing about a dumb hot girl is that it is ez to seduce them i personally like a girl who is smart and average looking

not all guys choose pretty ladies... for me, i love to go with a girl that goes along with me and make me happy... a girl that may not be beautiful otuside, but beautiful from the inside...
someone who understands both of you no matter who and what you are...
for me, it's the attitude that counts

Some go for beauty...some overlook that. We are visual creatures. But some of us look at more at what is inside too...YES there has to be some sort of attraction...but there is more to it...for me its laughter...I like people to laugh...sense of humor is awesome...(just one example there is more to it...)
