Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."

Doing something good for someone else gets your mind off your troubles. If you are too stressed for that, maybe go outside, take a walk, refuse to think negative things and make yourself say positive things out loud. Avoid negative people. Cheerful people lighten your mood.
Do something for yourself if there's opportunity and time. Keep it simple. Try fixing your hair different or wear an outfit you think you look good in. Go on a mini vacation even if it's just for an hour or two with someone or alone if that's what you need. Rest more if possible and eat healthy foods. Sing, smile, and laugh any time you get half a chance. Take up a hobby.
If you know what is causing the most of your stress, then you can determine whether now is the time to get away from it, or if you have to wait until another time. Medications can help even if you only take for a short while. Don't worry so much. Have some faith in the future. That's about all anyone can do to help themselves with stress. We all have it everyday. Hope you feel less stressed very soon.

Music helps me. Stopping and really listening to songs that relax you. Your mind starts stress so get your mind focused on pleasure. Exercise with a friend, walk the dog, watch a fun movie, have sex, play tennis, skate, get a relaxing hobby like gardening. Have fun looking for ways to reduce stress.

Identify and eliminate the source. While exercise, meditation, music, etc. provide some relief; they are only temporary and serve as a "distraction", not a cure. To effectively (and permanently) deal with stress, you've got to make positive changes in your life. Formulate a plan, set goals and reward yourself when good things happen.

Tell everyone how you truly, deeply feel about them. Kick your inlaws out of the house. Find someone you can blame all your problems on and have them offered as a human sacrifice for Beltane (His eye is the sun!). Ok maybe just kick back and find humour in life. Sex helps.

I always use a good workout. Run, lift weights, swim, whatever gets your pulse up and your mind off your problems.
