Such as Jim Jones, is it frightening that the human mind is so conditioned to be convinced into a cult mentality that they would murder their own children, commit suicide?

Who else is amazed at this, the ability to convince others, if you are powerful with persuasion, in whatever belief system you choose, to get a whole group of people to kill themselves and others.
This is also demonstrated in Nazi Germany and many other examples.

What is this and how frightening is it to you,--It scares the crap out of me, not because I would be convinced, (I'm not easily hypnotised) but because everyone else around you is crazy and stupid and just poised for their brain to be molded by the 'one' who has the answer.

what does it say about you? Are you one of those who are a nonconformist, are set apart from the crowd, a free thinker, one who can think for themselves, can judge right from wrong by themselves,

or are you a follower?

Nobody can convince me to kill. In fact, nobody can convince me to do anything I don't want to do. I make my own rules, and I don't impose them on others, so I don't allow others to impose theirs upon me. If I can see the societal benefit of a given rule or law, I will adhere to it, but that's where it ends.

you at the on the spot are not on my own! I grew up relationship, loving and having sexual relationships with woman. i'm now 33. even as i became about 27 i began noticing adult adult males, the more desirable i spotted adult adult males the a lot less i spotted woman. To the point through the time i became 30 i found myself on my own with a woman and no ability for sexual stimulation. in view that then I even have become completely gay. So it does take position. can't inform you the how's or why's yet do not do some thing you could't undo. I have come to love my gay selection. some cases i look at woman on the information superhighway and ask myself what I stated. it is alright to be gay. sexual metamorphis does take position. in the previous 27 I under no circumstances concept-about a guy sexually.

This is frightening and at the same time amazing. Amazing at how only one man can influence so many others. But remember, they can only do it in their lifetime

I believe I am a free-thinker. I have my own morals, my own standads. I like to wieght out the possiblieties of everything i do, everything i say. I do not like to follow

It is not just the person's persuasive ability, it is the extent to which a person will go to be accepted, received or viewed as worthy of respect or in the case of some groups worthy of heaven or eternal life.

It's never one person. There are just scape goats. Saying one person convinced those people to kill is like saying one person sanctioned slavery in America.

Yeah, the head guy often gets out of hand, but I assure you they had some help from someone at some point.
