The simplest was to handle a compliment is to say "Thank you"
Nothing more, nothing less... you acknowledge the compliment, and don't seem big headed or needy ... just say "Thank You"

It became something i've got had to paintings on. while i became a infant, I had a complicated time coping with compliments, particularly the onslaught that should come after being in a play or making a song a solo at a school stay overall performance. As i are starting to be older, i've got worked on being as gracious as accessible while somebody provides me a compliment, particularly of basically blushing or mumbling something stupid. Now, I smile, say "thank you" truly, and then return the compliment ("i like your bag, too" or "It became so variety of you to assert that" or regardless of) or make a comedian tale.

I love/hate compliments. It's really hard to figure out what to say sometimes. The easiest think is to just say "thank you" and continue on. That's about the least awkward way to respond.

Yes I do. You should also. Not enough people anymore take the time or are courtious enough to give a compliment to someone that deserves it.

I'm very pesstimistic. i always think they are lying or tell them otherwise, then they repeat it then I just say thanks, It's hard to get over that. Especially if you didn't get them before now you do alot.
Really just learn to say thank you, you don't have to be overly like "Yeah I know thanks" and flirt like a whore. I'm not saying you would, but I know many who do so.

Yes- why not just enjoy it and suck it up- who wants to hear your insecuritys flooding out when they are trying to be nice to you.
