I don't look for signs. God is always there and helps us in ways that we don't even recognize as Him. Other times we clearly see that it is God. For example what if you were running to catch the bus and there it was already at the bus stop but you knew the bus driver wasn't going to wait. There is a little old lady in the bus that is taking a long time to get down the steps and you get to the bus just as she takes that last step off. You may look at it as a coincidence that occurred but Christians see it as God helping.
His timing is always perfect.

I try to be prayed up. God takes care of me in mysterious ways. I study His Word, He communicates with me through the Bible. The relationship is special. It is hard to explain. We feel the presence of God.

I don't "get help" from God. HE helps me, reveals Himself to me, speaks to me through His Word and through other people. Whether I choose to listen and follow is the walk of Faith we always talk about.

Whoa! There's a lot of ground to cover with that question!
I guess you can say that God is quite aware of what will get our attention. I imagine that it differs from case to case.
