Some of these individuals dont know what theyre taking about...they probably dont even have kids and nano babies dont count...lol...ANYWAY....so your 16 with a child and your childs father cant work unless he has a green card...understandable...well, knowing that you have a child with him, makes the child an automatic citizen, so immigration should be lenient with giving him a work visa so that he can take care of his family. Tell him to go and find out where he can go about starting the application process because it takes a LONG time to to get processed...in the meantime, he should go ahead and find a job thats off the books and try to make money that way, such as at a restaurant or anywhere that pays CASH ONLY...but things will go fine as soon as everything is in the works...good luck with everything...
As far as getting married...get married if you want to, not because you have to because getting married wont grant him an automatic green card due to the scams over the years...but I support your decision no matter what as long as you think things through...

DON'T marry him
as an unwed 16 yr old mother you need to
seek assistance for yourself and child from state agencies or other such as the Salvation Army,church outreach programs,unwed mother programs ...etc
You said you are happy but you must realize that YOU and the Child have many years together. The above sources can assist you with support,maybe get you job training and child care while you work or get trained. As a mom YOU are responsible for your child. The dad is an illegal who also has responsibility to provide for the kid BUT..........

-many like you cant believe that their guy who once said he loved you,the baby is capable of leaving you once he GETS HIS Green card, Many illegals routinely target young girls as they are easily led. Marriage is the key to get a green card, The Dad is an illegal who desires a green card. His NEED for a green card is also very common demand of a girl who now has a child and afraid that she cant do everything needed to support herself and the child.
The common ending to this very common story is :
The guy gets his green card then takes off maybe home with his earnings or just slides into oblivion ready to live his life without the extra baggage and needs of a wife and kid...
Marriage is a bad idea ..He is an illegal.. the name you know him by may not even be his own just the identity he purchased..if he does take off you will never find him or ever get any child support...
Go seek assistance ..at sixteen you have much to learn if you are to provide for and raise your child..good luck

Well that would make me feel real good....he wants to get married for his green card. Your 16 and have the responsibility of taking care of a baby, your life has changed not for the better and he wants a green card. He's using you, for crying out loud don't get pregnant with another baby.

Well the key thing there is your son's father wants to get married.
You didnt say 'YOU' wanted to get married.
And you also said he wanted to get married for his green card.
Not because he loves you. Not because he wants to take care of his kid. But because he wants a green card.
Dont have any more kids with this guy, tell him to apply for a work visa and don't marry him based on what you said anyway.

Your question makes no sense. you assert you married his father, yet then ask about your spouse. You call him your stepson, then your son later, it is it? If he's your son, you should petition for him. If he's your spouse or husbands son, they ought to petition for him. Felons get deported and are banned from returning.
