Remember that you can't tell who has Aids or HIV which may cause Aids. First off I would like to say that if you are not certified in First Aid or as any EMT, Paramedic, CNA, LPN, or RN, or as a Doctor I would suggest that you don't become a hero if you are unaware of the risks when working on someone who has sustained injury.

When giving a service to anyone who has been injured always remember that you must first make sure that you have completely given yourself safety from the person that you are working on such as gloves and in some cases a face mask. Then go over the three C's. CHECK the scene you are working in to make sure that you are not putting yourself in harms way if you are by yourself. CALL the appropriate rescue organization to give them the information to come and help you. CARE for the person to the best of your ability. If you call for help on a cell phone, while on the road, or from a house phone tell them that you are going to help care for the person until a rescue unit arrives and then stay on the phone and give them progress reports so that they can communicate them to the rescue unit. This will help them determine what services this person may need when they arrive on the scene. This always helps them out a great deal.

Just remember that you are helping someone and that you are also protecting yourself. Always help someone beause you can and never say you didn't help because they had a disease.

The question does not make any sense. Is it right to rescue and aids victim? It is right to assist in the rescue by recommending a Dr. or try to see that the aids victim seeks medical attention as much as possible to obtain the right treatment. Is it right to try and rescue anybody if it will cost you your life? Well, in the heat of the moment, most humans act without regard for their own life but I personally put my life above someone elses but will be the first to react to help someone or a suffering animal. I might put my life in danger without even thinking about it but if I have time to think about it I weigh the options and try to come up with a win-win solution that will help all involved. Now, if the victim is not willing to seek the help, try some professional advice by searching the internet for "intervention techniques" or call a local clinic to see what you should do or can do. Do what you can but know when you have done all you can and don't blame yourself or put yourself in harms way. That won't do any of you any good...a loose-loose. Try and use some logic.

of course it is right to rescue an aids victim

it shouldn't even matter

the only way you could get it from them is if you have a cut and they have a cut and you guys exchanged bodily secretions (if the cuts touched the blood may have mixed and you may or may not have contacted HIV /aids)

First rule, scene safety, if you get hurt all you do is waste resources, then someone has to save you first.
