There is some slimy stuff on my ham which I have bought from the supermart after I have kept it for a couple of days in the refrigerator. Is it alright to eat the ham or has it turned bad? I am surprise if it has turned bad because it is just 2 days in the fridge.

It hasn't turned bad. Most of it is water that has mixed with the natural gelatin in ham. It's probably fine.

Don't worry my mate, it is common whenever you put a ham in the fridge.
The next time check the expiry label if you are worried and also don't keep items that are long sitting in the fridge.

I'm gonna say bacteria. I cook smaller amounts at a time, usually enough for 1-3 meals, so I use it all up before any film develops.

Slime usually means it's starting to turn nasty. Throw it away. Deli meats only keep for a day or two. How long was it in the package/deli case before you bought it?
