Store-bought spinach dip often has sugar or other additives. You can whip up this easy spinach dip recipe yourself, and it tastes better too. You don't have to use a food processor, but it does break the spinach down more for a smoother dip. If you want to further reduce the carbs, you can replace up to half of the sour cream with regular mayonnaise. Any "fat level" of sour cream can be used (but watch for added sugar).
Spinach Dip
INGREDIENTS:
1 10 oz package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 and 1/2 cup of sour cream (see note above)
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
PREPARATION:
If you're using a food processor, pulse the spinach alone a few times. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend well or until it reaches a smooth consistency

Below is a hot dip. In case you wanted the refrigerated dip, buy Knorr's Creamy Vegetable Soup Mix. On the front label you should see a pic of the soup (yawn) and the "famous" spinach dip (yum). The recipe is on the back, using the soup mix as the seasonings. Spinach-Artichoke Dip 1 (10-oz) package frozen chopped spinach 2 (13 3/4-ounce) cans artichoke hearts 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup sour cream 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan 1 cup grated pepper jack cheese Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a casserole dish with nonstick spray. Heat the spinach in a microwave oven on high for 5 minutes and squeeze dry. Drain the artichoke hearts and coarsely chop in a food processor. Combine all the ingredients except the jack cheese in a large bowl. Stir well. Scrape into the prepared casserole dish and sprinkle the jack cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes. Transfer to a chafing dish and keep warm over a low flame. Serve with bagel chips.

Spinach Dip
1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1 packet of Knorr brand vegetable soup mix
1 teaspoon dry onion soup mix (mix well before measuring)
2 cups sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 green onions, chopped
Squeeze spinach to remove excess liquid. Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Chill dip at least two hours.
Makes about 4 1/2 cups dip.
ALSO: Its really nicely presented if u hollow out a big pice of bread (one with a crust) and fill the middle with dip. Then use cookie cutters to make the bread you jjust removed into cool shapes and put around the bread with fresh veggies...super nice if you want to bring something to a party but you don't want to have to use a bowl that your going to have to bring back home
