Well, if there is no God, there is no purpose for any of this. Then, we exist just to procreate and die (and use up resources along the way).
Something must have created the Universe. It could not have come from nothing, despite what anyone says. Something must explain why every human culture has common tendencies, like the fact that every culture despises a traitor.
Ultimately, you need to go after God. Read "Mere Christianity", by CS Lewis. It is the single most articulate case for the existence of God and the importance of Christianity I have ever read. He gives logical, well thought out arguements for God's existence. Far more than you will get from the crackpots on Yahoo! Answers.

If you are scared of burning in hell then you already believe in God because you realise that there is an alternative to heaven. Try reading the book "Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel. It was written by a reporter who didn't believe in God but decided to research the evidence supporting the idea of a supreme creator. I really hope you are serious with your question and that can find peace.

If you don't believe in God, then why do you believe there is a Hell? Do you believe in Satan? Or how about an after-life? But if I were you, and were worried about burning in hell, I would certainly check out God. Why take the chance?

Think about it is Hell really that bad? That is where all the greats will be. Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, VanGough, Hemingway, and about 3/4 of the so-called Christians will be there to. It will be like one big party sit around drink and make fun of the Christians for once, since they like making telling everyone else they are going to hell. I say pull you up a seat let Satan pour you a drink and listen to another of Beethoven's stories.

God, in my oppinion, does not exist. So its a good thing if you don't believe in god. It shows that you can do stuff your way and not take **** from anyone. You either believe in fact or god. God represents abstenince, all man does is indulge. So if there were to be a god you're either ignorant or you're going to hell.

What's stopping you? Is it because you were born a Christian, and you think that God can only be believed through Christianity?
I think more people are susceptible to becoming atheists after being Christians. You find fewer Muslims becoming non-believers, because Islam makes more sense than Christianity.
Sorry, I know, the truth hurts...

I understand. And if you are serious...
Remember God is love and mercy. Forget what anyone else tells you, including hell. Hell was not created for you. God will never turn you away, only you can turn away from God. This choice is yours.
Don't let religion enslave you or turn you away from God. Love God with all your heart. Talk to him - Do not be afraid. There are no string attached to his love. That is all you have to do.
God was the father of the first father that eventually led up to you. He is your father and as your father, he expect nothing but your love for him, love for yourself and your love for others.

That is quite the paradox...However if you don't believe in God then there can't be a Hell because one can't exist with out the other.

If you don't believe in God, you don't believe in Hell either.
By the way, dont waste your time. The reason you cant believe it is because there is nothing to believe. Stick with proof.
