I am extremely worried about my boyfriend or soon 2 be not boyfriend, because he told me he has been taking lots of Tylenols like he told me today he had taken 17 Tylenols all together, today.
And I am extremely worried bcuz to me that seems abnormal, and I'm not sure what to think, and he says it seems 2 help him in school. And he also has ITP, which I'm worried will make it worse...
Is 17 Tylenols normal 4 a 14 yeaar old?
And if not what may happen to him?
im soo scared for him, but I also think he is gonna break up with me.....but all that matters 2 me right now is that he gets himself together and that he will be okay...ya know?

thnanks 4 listening......

Not sure what ITP is, but as for the 17 Tylenol a day? He is going to lose his liver!!!! Very soon!!!! Acetaminophen (which is the chemical name for Tylenol) can very extremely harmful to the liver, to the point where it will shut it down. He is NOT getting high off Tylenol, though. Why is he taking so much Tylenol? He's 14, he shouldn't be in constant pain, and if he has a medical condition that makes him be in pain, his doctor should prescribe something safer than taking 17 Tylenol a day!

According to Tylenol website, the maximum adult dosage is either 6, 8 or 12 in a 24-hour period. So 17 sounds excessive.

Please check online and call the 1-800 number and ask for advice. They may instruct you to contact a licensed physician.

Overdose is NOT good. Tell him these are PILLS. They do something to your body. TOO MUCH can do serious damage. It might help him in school, but it can kill him. Also tell him that if he wants to die, your breaking up with him.
