I'm curious to know how many people would never even try or consider the possibility with someone they've met, whom they are very much interested in or attracted to, but seems just out of their league, too good for them, or just not likely that they've got a chance?

Where do you stand? and why?

I really think people do it everday!!! I did, and have never been happier!!! Whats the worst that could happen? Have them say "no?]" and then later realize they weren't the one for you? ORRRR!!! They could say "yes" and be happy and spend the rest of your lives together !??

Its an opportunity that you can't afford to pass up! Snatch it!

Plus, its likely that they think the same thing about you...

No one person is any better than another. Don't ever think that someone is better or out of your league. We are all equal, and in my opinion you never know until you give it a shot. Who knows, they might have insecurities as well, and feel the same way. I say spark up the confidence level and go for it!!!!!! What do you have to lose?

I tried that the other day & I failed hopelessly. I advertised my iPod for sale in the newspaper & the lady who wanted to buy it turned out to be absolutely stunning. After selling the iPod to her I thaught the only good reason to call her back was to ask if she was happy with the iPod & then maybe take things further from there. But alas, my endeveours ended there. Disappointing but I guess it wasn't mines for the taking.

Most people have had that experience once or twice but my advice is "nothing ventured, nothing gained". Consider yourself an ocean going vessel. You may be safe as long as you stay in the harbor but will never get anywhere.

no one is better than anyone else but some may think so. and for those who think so better look at themselves a little better because we all may be different and good and look better than others in our minds but to really be better than others it really depends on who you ask. if someone thinks that someone else is out of their league than why the heck are they still talking to them ? but if you want to know if someone thinks you are not good enough than you don't need them in your life ... why would you so they can just put you down... and if you are the one that thinks you are better than you need to step back and go on looking in a different direction don't you think so .. Hope this helped.

when i was young, i didn't try. so when i see people do that, i respect them a lot. so i never learned what i missed. now, i am a little older and have gained some confidence, i may try or least try to be friends and see where that leads to.

I would say definetly go for it. since we have gotten out of high school, fear of rejection is very much still around, but kind of silly, you wont see this person everyday, they arent going to tell everyone you have feelings for them. in other words, more than likely you dont have much to lose. you have no idea what your odds are like.

Whenever I'm interested in someone, I just go for it. You don't know until you try...................Got to have enough self-confidence to take a chance, risk a little to find out!

i dont think anyone would really be out of anyone's league. isn't the personality more important in finding the correct partner?

if there is mutual respect, i doubt it'll cause any problems.
