I'll say it's a hard riddle.
There is no Telegraph Ave in New Haven Ct, the home of Yale.
At least, not one that Google can find
3, 3, and 8
He didn't know the number because of what I said above.
Because there is no street, there is no building, and because the other guy said what he did, there is only 1 solution.
Update:
If I did get the right answer, my logic was faulty. I didn't realize it until this AM.
Give the prize to Lucky Luke. I don't completly understand the logic, but it's a lot better than mine.

It must be 8, 3, and 3. The number on the building is 14. Since he says eldest (only) implies that the younger two are twins. 18 is unusually old to start playing the piano and other twin combinations make the twins the oldet leaving only one set of answers with twins to be correct. 8, 3, 3.

Yeah, tough!
I'm going to say 2, 4 and 9, even though 9 is a little old to just start the piano. And the reference to the number on the building... No clue in the world.

There are multiple answers. Based on the info given, there is not one 'right' answer.
18, 2 and 2
12, 6 and 1
6, 4, and 3
...just to name a few
