My friend is convinced that he does. I'm a freshman in high school and he's a senior, we're in a class together. I don't talk much during that class, and near the beginning of the year started talking to me a bit, little stuff, and sometimes choosing to sit near me. Now, he says hi to me when we pass in the halls, and when he came by to say hi to me at the dance, my friend caims, "didn't you see that look? he so likes you!!!" he's nice to me, and is one of the only people in class who i have talked to, or who have talked to me. he also asked me to add his band to my myspace, asked me what i did on break, stuff like that. he says hi to me when we pass in the halls, it might be just friendlyness, or maybe, as my friend claims, not just that.
Thing is, I probably won't mention it to him, I'm not all that outgoing with people i don't know really well, and especially b/c he's 17 and i'm only 14...
could he like me

I had a very similar case except it was with a couple of athletic seniors. One of them thought I liked him, but I didn't, but now we're really good friends. So what I'm trying to say is it's best that you find guys your age or at LEAST a one year difference. It's sort of gross to have a 3 year or above "love" connection because it somehow ALWAYS ends up to be more of a brother, sister relationship. Also, you are going to get hurt once he graduates and moves off to college. Lastly, even on news it is a dangerous thing to get "lovey-dovey" with guys like this, they end up just wanting to use you if you know what I mean.

So to sum this up do NOT break connection with him, just STICK in trying to be friends, find guys CLOSE to your age. At first they might seem immature to you, but guys mature. Remember this, guys can't change ALL the way, cause BOYS will ALWAYS be BOYS.

Aloha spirit to you my cousin, and the best of luck to your future! (Hawaiian style!)

He may or he may just be the friendly type. If he does, that's really nice. Just a word of caution, though, he's in his senior year. You realize what that means, right? He'll be leaving for college in a few months and you will still be in high school for the next three years hereafter.

There are so many ramifications of such a relationship. Relationships between college and high school people seldom end happily-ever-after. The three-year gap for you is very crucial especially at this stage in life. Just so you think about this before you decide to get involved . . .

from a guy's point of view, he could be just thinking the opposite. maybe one of HIS friends told him that you like him and he's choosing to become friendly to you. you'll never know until you ask him yourself. and age doesnt matter when you guys ever do fall in love. just ask yourself this. do i see a future with him or will he break my heart? and just to test him become extra nice to him and see how he reacts to it. if he responds to your gestures and words positively maybe you're in luck. if not and he moves away from you, well he probably wasnt worth it. all in all good luck.

I think he likes you, dont ignore him or he will think you dont want to be near him and start to ignore you back.

"Hi" does not mean that he likes you. and you nailed it with the age difference. Let it go.
