Im a young high school student dont drink/drugs, dont smoke
Digestive problems began 8 months ago, consistent
Ongoing pain in stomach (not ache), now, intestinal pain, too.
Symptoms: cringe forcing, horrible pain in stomach (top & bottom) after eating, night, sleeping, & morning, & sometimes out of nowhere. Pain in large intestine, and colon, and sometimes appendix. Dizziness, tiredness, weakness, fatigue, malaise after eating, bright red blood and mucus in stool, frequently. Pain in hips, legs, and bones, shakiness, loss of weight, then gain in weight. Gastroenterologist (GI doctor) perform all scopes, barium study, cat scans and can’t name any diagnosis, nor can she think of anything. After finding that I had inflammation and scars in my intestine, colon, and inflamed appendix “not appendicitis,” she seems clueless and scope shows no ulcers, etc, and biopsy’s came back “fine” I feel extremely uncomfortable in my own body. Please, any ideas? Email 4 more info ella_rach@yahoo.com

MAIN pain is in the stomach region.
Also, sometimes when I drink water, etc. it feels like it goes over my stomach instead of in, and I feel it underneath my skin, and it's very uncomfortable.

I need help, my Mom has no idea what to do, and I was also diagnosed with Anemia, because my blood cell count is continuously decreasing, could I be bleeding somewhere?

My GI doctor thinks it's gynelogical problem, but my gynecologist thinks its Gastrointestinal, and my period is very irregular for having it for 4 years, I only get it 6 times a year, my exam shows everything seems fine, but I think I need an ultra sound.

I was just put on birth control, a week ago to regulate my period.
It's not heavy, I just skip a few too many months.

Note: This pain is with eating ANYTHIN, my doctor told me to eat bread, because it helps, and...It hurt worse than normally, plain bread, no butter.

I feel better when I don't eat, but when I'm hungry, I can't go against it, so I feel like I'm always in discomfort.

I need answers, I don't want my doctor to find something out when it's too late.

I have extremely sharp, SUDDEN chest pain in what feels like my heart, it's like I'm getting stabbed and the knife stays in there, or like a lightening bolt, and I can feel something spread, painfully to my back/shoulder.

Indifferently, I also once in a while get sudden, painful RIGHT shoulder pain.

Sorry I wrote so much, but I think I need to tell everything in order to find an answer :/

Yes, I've had a fecal occult test done, and the GI said it came back "fine" and unfortunately there is only one other GI doctor in the vicinity of 2 hours near me, and she works with my GI doctor, and I've heard bad things...

I am willing to go further! I just need my Mom to compromise.

I will deff. take advice for a second opinion!

After testing, I was told I do not have parasites...or bacteria.

Thanks for the advice, but I've tried eating all sorts of food to help the pain, and it only makes it worse.

Vinegar is horrible for my stomach, bananas make me feel sick, I've tried molasses, anything listed that I can think of.

When I take vitamins, and medicine it burns my stomach so bad I unforcefully either throw it up or feel nauseous.

I recently was diagnosed with gastritis...again. I had it when I was six, now over twenty years later, voila, it's back. A lot of the symptoms in regards to the pain sounds like it. Pain in stomach on an empty stomach, or after eating, any day, decrease in appetite (which caused the dizziness, etc in me). Gastritis - an inflammation of stomach is when too much acid is produced. It's similar symptoms to an ulcer, and there are forms of it that is cancerous. Symptoms of that does include blood in stool, etc.

I would have a different GI doctor check you out. Unfortunately, your symptoms seem more serious than the above mentioned, but it is a start.

Wow. How awful for you.

Well, first off, blood in stool is a very very bad thing. Always. Since your gastro can't find anything, I would ask her for a referral to someone for a second opinion. She won't be offended, smart patients always get a second opinion. Maybe someone will be able to look at your situation with a fresh perspective and find something your original doctor missed.

EDIT in response to additional details. The fecal occult blood rules out a gynecological problem as the root. It wouldn't cause that. And yes, a GI bleed will cause anemia. But, your irregular periods could be due to the anemia from the GI bleed, so they're probably not totally unrelated. I'll stand by the suggestion of a second opinion from another GI specialist.
Have you had a fecal culture done to look for microbes or parasites? it's a long shot, but if it hasn't been done, there are a couple of infections that can cause those symptoms, and you wouldn't want to miss them in a diagnosis.

Good luck. I hope someone finds out what the problem is.

It sounds like IBS to me. I was diagnosed with IBS roughly twelve years ago, and it makes eating interesting to say the least. I definitely know what you're going through. I am on a prescription, and have been since my diagnosis. It's the generic of Protonix, and it works great. If I miss even one dose I can tell. I also take Fibercon twice a day to help keep everything regulated in the BM department. If you like tea, peppermint tea is a great way to deal with an upset stomach plus it tastes yummy. :-) My family has a history of stomach problems, most of my dad's side has at least something similar to IBS. A lot of them swear by blackberry brandy, a shot of it can settle an upset stomach. I don't like the flavor, but it does help when I'm desperate. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Definitely stay in touch with the Md's

Two families of curatives
Garlic/onions
Peppers like Cayenne - I would recommend capsules starting at one and working up.

Bodies need building blocks - vitamins (prenatal have the right combination according to some heart specialists)

The other possibility I can think of is - an overgrowth of un-beneficial yeasts.
There are good and bad types for our systems the good are often referred to as "pro-biotics" which often need replaced if our systems are compromised by even things as simple as using antibiotics and not being able to resupply itself.
The bad ones are most prevalent in the large and small intestines - killing them causes die-off and can be painful but that is the way many people I know have returned to health. So if you get there start slow. The products can be found in the health food stores - things like the ones that kill candida I think the one I took was candex.

DIGESTION PROBLEMS:

Take 1 tsp. vinegar after a meal to assist in digestion.

With your meal, drink a glass of water to which 1 tsp. vinegar has been mixed. Sip it slowly throughout your entire meal for good digestion.

Eat a banana.

Eat a slice or two of papaya after a meal, or take 2 papaya tablets for digestion. Papaya tablets can be purchased inexpensively at any herb store or WalMart.

Have a dish of pineapple for dessert as it will help with your digestion.

This is a long shot, but your symptoms are completely consistent with several intestinal parasites. Hopefully, someone has examined a stool sample under a microscope to look for parasites. Based on what you have described, i would not be surprised if you have hookworm.
