Since you have never been to the United States before, and are not familiar with our transportation system. The safest and fastest way from LAX to LGB is by taxi, although it will cost a little more than other methods. To keep you from being exploited by the cab driver, the route the driver SHOULD take is: exit airport, travel south on I-405 to Lakewood Blvd, exit north to LGB.

well you can take transit,
from lax board Lax shuttle G shuttle to the Aviation station
then pay 3.00 Plus 25 cents to get a inter-agency transfer
(this is done all though the Ticket Vending machine at the station
then you take the Green Line to Rosa Parks/ then take the Blue Line to the last stop (transit terminal, then board Long beach Transit Line 112

well it's 24 miles and the cheapest way would probably be a shuttle van, but it will make stops and could make you miss your next flight....a taxi might be your best bet i would call one servicing the area and ask how much it will cost

I agree with peedlepup....the area between these 2 airports is some of the toughest the city...No place for a foreign person to be wandering around.....PLEASE PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND TAKE A CAB...

Depends where in LA you want to go. You could use the MTA blue line, but you will have to take a bus from the airport to the station.

take either Prime Time or Super Shuttle--both shared van rides. Their vans stop just outside of each terminal on the center island.
