Yes!!!!! I am in the AF and there are A LOT of people with STDs. You can not join the AF with AIDS or HIV. Or any preexisting illness (Diabetes, lupus, Cancer, etc.) In fact the only STD the military (MEPS) screen anyone for is HIV or AIDS. You do not have to disclose that information to your recruiter or meps doctor. Just get it treated and take care of yourself. Once your in the military will give you any necessary treatments you need.

How about joining the enemies military, and spread the STD.

I don't know if you can join the military with an STD, but its very easy to leave the military with an STD.

Depending on what it is, you can after you have been treated. (but not herpes because you can't cure it ...)
