so one of my best guy friends (i believe) has a thing for me - all signs point to 90% chance true - for example, he'll look at me (when he thinks i'm not looking back) with that "look" on his face - not like "happy happy smile" but kind of a smirk and look a way when i'll look at him and also he'll say certain things to make me "jealous" and get my reaction - he's a shy guy so he doesn't make the "first move" necessarily. We used to talk all the time - everytime we talk it would happen at night but NOW, he just doesn't call me a night anymore - just in the morning and asks "where i am". I jokingly called him out on it saying, "dude just call me later on tonight - i called you last night and you didn't pick up dork..." he just said, "yeaaah yeaah..." well i do call him - he'll call me during the day and i'm busy so i tell him that i'd call him later that night and when i do, he doesn't pick up - we don't talk at night anymore - what's the deal?

he doesn't have a girlfriend - although there is this girl he said he's not "interested" in that really likes him

He might be burning the midnight oil with a joy toy for now. But he still wants to keep you on the back burner in case something intensifies between you two

I would say it is, but then again it isn't. I had an issue with my current bf about a year ago not calling me anymore at night, but texting me through out the day and not wanting me to come over anymore. I found out he was talking to girls that went to our church on Myspace and have deep intimate conversations with them. We broke up a few times over it, but got it sorted out. Sometimes they do it so that it can be easier to break up with you. I know I have done that, just pushed them away from me. But guys also like to think that since you txt they shouldn't have to call. SOLUTION: Ask him about, don't be pushy and just ask if there is something wrong. Listen to the way he acts, or better yet do this in person. Watch his reaction. I would think since you live six hours away he would want to talk to you every night. Hope this helps.

Maybe he is busy at night. Maybe its inconvenient for him at night when it suits you. If you have fobbed him off a few times when he has called he probably could not be bothered anymore.
I USED to have a firend that would call at like 1am, if I called her during the day she would cut me short. She was pretty selfish, notice i am not her friend anymore.

It's his way of "controlling" the situation. Because you liking him is "out of his control". Just stick with him. If you like him tell him, if not just keep being a friend. Ask him why he doesn't pick up when you call him at night....ask him directly.

Maybe he is seeing someone and hangs out with her in the evenings. Sometimes I don't answer my phone when a friend calls if my boyfriend is over.
This doesn't mean he doesn't like you. It just means he is trying to be respectful to his guest.
I hope you work it out! :)

no deal sis. from ur msg, i know u r still ver young and this is wat we called puppy love. and if u r very lucky, puppy love will be successful. the luck u need is equal to the luck u need to win a lottery. my advice is just forget him. treat him as u fren, that's all. when i say fren means FREN! not some kind of guy who u can fall in love with

Something is distracting him and keeping him from calling you in the evenings. Is it possible he has a girlfriend?

If you like him, let it be known. Flirt, call him, etc. Maybe he liked/s you but you didn't flirt back so he thinks you're not interested, thus doesn't call anymore.

Well...honestly, I have no clue! Only he can tell you that! Have you straight forwardly asked him? I would, just out of curiosity. I would wonder if he is seeing someone.
